Wear Red Day was held on March 25, to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities Orange, which supports the region's sick children and their families.
Karla McDiarmid, medi spa director, said the business loves to support local charities, and when she asked the staff who they wanted to support, Ronald McDonald House was one of the ones chosen.
Ms McDiarmid said she set aside a day and donated $5 from every client to the cause, with staff also donating.
Principal of Bathurst High, Ken Barwick, who came up with the idea of Wear Red Day, said the donation said a lot about the capability and thought process of local businesses.
"Coming out of bad year in 2020 and in 2021 they've opened up their doors and supported a great charity, one that has an impact on kids and families especially kids in regional and far west NSW."
