PEOPLE with a disability can access the Royal Bathurst Show as usual despite changes to parking this year.
Normally, Morse Park is used for parking during the show period, but with the National Rugby League (NRL) game between the Penrith Panthers and Manly Sea Eagles on this weekend, the ground can't be used.
Instead, a park and ride facility will be established in Hereford Street, so people can park and catch a bus to and from the showground between 8.30am and 10pm on Friday and Saturday, and up to 4pm on Sunday.
Disability advocate Bob Triming was concerned that disability parking would not be provided at Bathurst Showground this year, but has since found out that option will be available to people displaying their Mobility Parking Scheme sticker.
"The usual number of parking spots will be available inside the main gate next to the Panorama Motel, you just need to have your MPS displayed," he said.
There are also facilities inside the showground to assist people with a disability, including toilets.
