The son of Fernando Bale posted a solid 22.55 seconds win on debut at Maitland when prepared by Jason Mackay but has mixed box manners and form alike in six subsequent starts.
Since his most recent third at Maitland on March 30, Zipping Wreck has returned to his owner-breeder.
"His box manners have been patchy to say the least," Martin Hallinan said.
"We've given him a trial at Bathurst and he ran around the 18 seconds mark [over 307m] and looked a little 'lost' through the first turn.
"No doubt, he'll be better for the experience but I can't say he will get the start right and be good enough to win."
Zipping Wreck has drawn box three in the third race on the afternoon program and the pair drawn to his inside - Arquette and Lilac Sky - will attract support.
Arquette (box one) raced outside the speed and did just enough to score over 330m at Richmond in 18.87 on April 17 before finishing a neck away when 2nd over 305m at Coonamble 11 days later.
He's up in class and new to Bathurst but is drawn to get every chance.
Lilac Sky has been freshened since her latest placing at Bathurst on April 12. She's finished second in each of four starts at Kennerson Park - all at 307m - and is a near faultless beginner.
Racing gets underway at Kennserson Park at 2.59pm, with the 12th and last race at 6.26pm.
