Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time if they're driving through Raglan next Tuesday, May 11.
For the safety of road users and workers, a detour for westbound traffic will be in place during the installation of temporary safety barriers on the highway between Locke Street and Napoleon Street.
A 3.5 metre shoulder will be maintained opposite the BP service station to help manage traffic flow.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
Westbound traffic will be diverted via Eugenie Street, Christie Street and Napoleon Street. The detour will be in place during work hours between 7am and 6pm.
Eastbound traffic will not be affected.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, follow the directions of traffic control and all signs and allow extra travel time.
