The club has joined forces with Bathurst Uniting Support Services (BUSS), loaning the organisation its courtesy bus to take clients to Chifley Clinic on a daily basis.
Julie Fry from BUSS said the methadone program gave clients some stability in their lives and they were required to dose from hospital every day.
"It helps them live healthy, more productive lives," Ms Fry said.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
But staff at BUSS had identified an issue with getting clients to the clinic each day to get their medication.
She said clients were paying up to $50 a week for a seat in a car to get their medication and they wanted a way they could get their daily medication in a safe and affordable way.
Ms Fry said one of the staff had a connection to Bathurst Panthers and after discussion between the two groups Panthers generously agreed to let the service use the bus each morning.
She said it was an incredibly generous thing for Panthers to offer the charity the use of their bus.
While the service is not yet operating, the plan is the bus will pick up clients at a central point at 9am.
Ms Fry said this would enable clients to get their children off to school, get to the clinic, get their medication and drop them back off.
She said the program, once under way, would initially run from Monday to Friday but could later expand.
Ms Fry also said the organisation was looking for volunteers to drive the bus; all that is required is a NSW driver's licence.
They also need volunteers who will join the driver on the bus for support.
"The bus seats 12 people so, with the driver and volunteer, we will be able to drive 10 people a day," Ms Fry said.
"Volunteers only need a normal driver's licence so if anyone able to volunteer we'd love to hear from them."
