The rally is intended to draw attention to the concerns around the Federal Government's gas-led recovery, major threats to the environment and the dangers of flooding.
Last year the Federal Government committed to unlocking more gas supply, delivering an efficient pipeline and transportation market, and empowering gas customers.
However, BCCAN president Jack Fry believes the government can't be led out of the pandemic by gas because it's just another fossil fuel, which is causing harm to the environment.
"There's a lot backlash from the government, who is saying gas is the way to support renewable going forward," he said.

"It's just another fossil fuel. It's as half polluting as coal-fired plants but it's basically a $600 million band-aid.
"We're not investing enough to move forward. The rest of the world is setting great 2040 targets but we're one of the only governments in the developed world that have not have set a target."
People are encouraged to meet near the low level Hereford Street bridge at midday on Friday, with participants to walk to the office of Calare MP Andrew Gee on the corner of Keppel and Bentick streets and present him with a document detailing BCCAN's concerns.
"It's good for people to get involved because it shows that people out in the regional Australia care about having a just transition," Mr Fry said.
"If we never invest into these renewable technologies, we will never improve and we will get stuck with us burning coal."
The rally is also hoping to draw on Wiradyuri elders for guidance and leadership in addressing major threats to land, water and climate, as well as raising awareness of the dangers of flooding from climate change.
Participants are encouraged to wear something that symbolises being in water, such as swimmers, gumboots or blow-up water toys, to draw attention to increased risk of major flooding due to climate change.
The rally is expected to run from 12pm-1pm.
