DAVE Conyers has seen some special rugby at University Oval in his time, but nothing like what CSU pulled off on Saturday as they pilled on 33 points in 18 minutes.

It was a scoring blitz that set up a 55-21 win over the Dubbo Rhinos in their New Holland Cup clash and had coach Conyers marvelling over the support play.
"I don't think I've ever seen 18 minutes of footy like that, 33 points in 18 minutes. Everybody was sort of looking at each other saying 'Is this really happening?'," Conyers said.
"It was pretty much consistent for the first 20 minutes of the game, everything we touched turned to gold.
"Front rowers scoring under the posts, props and second rowers exchanging three and four passes and scoring under the posts, it was just freaky sort of play.
"I saw some of the best tries I've ever seen scored at this oval scored, it was just amazing the amount of people who touched the ball to score. It was really inspiring."
Flyhalf Ethan Cusik ran up a personal tally of 35 points for the contest as he not only booted six conversions and a penalty for the match, but scored four brilliant long range efforts.
"He scored four 50-60 metre tries, they were all long range, the whole lot of them," Conyers said.
"We let in a couple of soft tries after that, but it was just the guys were totally out of fuel after those 20 minutes, it was one end of the field to the other."
As well as Cusik contributing to the students' brilliant start, second rower Lachie Buckton crossed for a double while halfback Harry Magriplis and flanker Lachlan Melville also iced some slick movements.
Though that effort fatigued the students and the Rhinos responded with three tries of their own via Ryan McCracken, Brady Brooks and Brett Austin, CSU was still well in control at half-time with a 40-21 lead.
In the second half CSU went on with the job, the bonus-point victory not only keeping them in the hunt for the minor premiership but giving them a huge confidence boost ahead of next Saturday's clash with the undefeated Parkes.
"The second half we just consolidated a bit and they played a lot better in that second half as well," Conyers said.
"It's incredible to do that going into Parkes next week. We trained our best all year this week and it really showed on the paddock.
"The feature of the day was just that support play, all those tries we scored early on, half a dozen guys touched the ball. It was just magic sort of footy. I think it was a really big turning point in our season today."
The win by Conyers' men made it a clean sweep of the day for CSU.
The women posted a 78-5 win over Wellington in a match which saw Maddi Williams score four tries and boot seven conversions, while second grade downed Dubbo Rhinos 24-16.
"It was just a fantastic day for us, second grade won, the girls won, there were 200 or 300 girls up here for ladies day, so it was just a really, really special day for us," Conyers said.
CSU 55 (Ethan Cusik 4, Lachie Buckton 2, Harry Magriplis, Lachlan Melville tries; Ethan Cusik 6 conversions, Ethan Cusik penalty) defeated DUBBO RHINOS 21 (Ryan McCracken, Brady Brooks, Brett Austin tries; Jesse Redenbach 3 conversions)
