Collegians Mystified, Panthers and Bulldogs Verdelho all secured their spots with victories on Saturday while Scots All Saints College and Superstars United set to fight it out for the remaining position.
Verdelho recorded a 49-34 victory over SASC in the weekend's latest round - a scoreline that disguises how close the match really was.
In fact, both clubs went into half-time with proceedings all square but the Bulldogs' experience shone through over a very dominant second half of netball.
Bulldogs coach Kate Burns said things began to fall into place for the team after some half-time changes.
"We knew they were going to be a tough team and they've got a very dominant goal shooter," she said.
"The first half was very tight but we were lucky enough to be able to move away from them in the second half. We made some positional changes at the break.
"We're still waiting to get all our players back from injury and illness but we tried moving players around at half-time, and we went back to the team that was basically the same as the one from last year.
"Those combinations worked very well. I know SASC were short on some players, but we definitely played a much better game over that second half."
SASC coach Michael Germech said he decided to take a few risks but didn't feel let down by the fact they didn't pay off.
"I took a couple of gambles as a coach with some positional changes to see if we could get things to change but they didn't pay off," he said.
"Bulldogs changed their lineup as well and that paid off for them. They played as well as I've seen them play all season after that.
"Of course I would have liked to have seen them win - and we've still got a couple of players to come back - but we've still got one game left that they must win to secure a spot in the top half of the draw, because that's where we'll get tougher games and that will help the girls improve even more."
If SASC win next week's match against Nova Sky they will almost certainly take the remaining A grade position, courtesy of their superior percentage.
Superstars will face Panthers Allsorts.
In Saturday's other results Panthers Allsorts recorded their first win of the season in the game against Bulldogs Hurricanes, with a 33-25 score.
Collegians Mystified were at their best in a 61-34 win over Superstars United, and Panthers found plenty of points in a 66-34 win over Nova Sky.
