The houses at 26-28 Morrisset Street were built around 1870, years after the land had been granted to Margaret Lennox Crozier, who paid £13 for it, in June, 1846.

Both homes, which were in serious need of repair, were purchased by Amy and Damian Fulthorpe at the start of 2017.
"We had always wanted to live in town. We had built new homes in the new estates, but wanted to live in town," Mrs Fulthorpe said.
"I've always loved terrace houses. Whenever we were looked to buy there wasn't much available.
"Things just fell into place for us to purchase these."
The couple embarked on a major renovation, which saw the homes gutted and extended to bring them up to modern standards, while still respecting their heritage value.
"Damian being a carpenter and a builder, we had a lot of skill to do most of the work ourselves," Mrs Fulthorpe said.
"Number 26 was gutted, so it was a fresh canvas, but some work had begun in 28, so we were able to work with what was there and do it more to our tastes."
Their efforts to renovate and restore the homes made the Fulthorpes the ideal candidates for the 2021 Central West Heritage Award, which was introduced last year.
The annual award is presented to the owners of a property in the Bathurst district who have, despite an adverse engineer's report, made the decision to restore a house which was in danger of being demolished.
A committee comprising Dianne Barnes (Family History Group), Christopher Stewart (Bathurst Historical Society), Ingrid Pearson (architect), Lee and Richard Steele, Robin White (Robin White Design) and Maureen Pike (National Trust) chose 26-28 Morrisset Street from a list of potential local buildings.
They recognised that the owners had "gone the extra mile" in terms of cost and effort to save the two homes from demolition, saving the important heritage streetscape in Morrisset Street.
Mr and Mrs Steele presented the Fulthorpes with a cheque for $1000 and a heritage certificate in recognition of their work.
