THEY say in the world of sport that a lot can change in a short space of time but Bathurst Panthers will hope that's not the case when they face Lithgow Workies this Saturday.

It's only been two weeks since the Panthers recorded a 52-0 demolition job over the Workies at Carrington Park and now the Bathurst boys are hoping to replicate a similar performance during Wade Park's magic round this weekend.
This will be the Panthers' second straight game against Lithgow as they had the bye last round, while Workies went down to St Pat's to give the Saints their first win of the year.
Panthers lock Jake Betts is expecting a better Workies performance in Orange.
"It's a quick turnaround to play against them again. We won't read too much into the last game against them because you only have to look at what happened to Mudgee against Hawks last round," he said, referencing the Dragons' big 52-6 defeat.
"Lithgow will turn up, that's for sure."
The remarkable thing about the Panthers' big win in the previous Workies game is that there's still room for improvement from the men in black.
We won't read too much into the last game against them.
- Jake Betts
"We came into half-time feeling that we hadn't played that well," Betts said.
"We spoke about that and the fact we were trying to score off every play. We were pushing too many passes but in the second half we went back to our brand of footy, which is pushing the ball forward and creating space for our classy halves, Dougie [Hewitt] and Willie [Wright]."
There's some slight changes to this weekend's starting lineup for Panthers, with Daniel Bain moving up to the starting prop and Ben Gunn taking his previous spot in the second row.
The rest of the starting 13 is unchanged.
Panthers and Workies will be the middle match of the day's magic round, kicking off their game from 1pm.
