But now into his second season for Panorama in Western Premier League (WPL), he's come to know a new rivalry with Lithgow Workmen's.
The Goats are set to clash with their great foes from the foot of the mountains this Friday night under the lights of Proctor Park and Davis said the team is looking forward to the match.
"It should be a pretty good game. It always seems to bring the best out of each other," he said.

"I'm sort of new to the rivalry being from Orange but for the guys, this game is always one they look forward to."
Having spent time playing with Barnstoneworth, Millthorpe, Western NSW FC and even Canobolas Rangers in the old iteration of the WPL, Davis was approached by the Goats at the start of 2020, having known a number of players from his Western days.
"A few guys approached me from the team I knew and it was more, there just being one Orange team and that team being pretty full," he said.
"It's been a great club to play for. There's a great atmosphere and the culture before and after games is pretty important, especially for me. My family and young kids get around it."
This season has been a bit of a transition for Davis, having been pushed up from the backline to play a fair bit on left wing this season.
"It's been a bit of a transition for me, having played a lot of last season in defence," he said.
"I've naturally playing in the attacking third, so it's been good to get a shot at playing further up the park and get on the score sheet."
Davis has scored two goals this season so far, one against Parkes Cobras in round five and another against Mudgee Wolves in round nine.
Panorama and Workies will kick-off at 7pm.
In other matches, which will all be played on Saturday, Barnstoneworth will host Waratahs, Dubbo Bulls will play local rivals Macquarie United and Parkes Cobras will make the trip to Mudgee to play the Wolves.
