Eglinton committee member Laura Hallinan said junior players have "loved" playing so far this season, with the most result mini-mod cluster held at Cubis Park on Saturday.
"We've had record attendance this year compared to last couple of years," Hallinan said.
"I think the juniors are extra excited because of the increase in spectator numbers, to have their families watching and cheering them on from the sideline.

"I know not having spectators was a bit of a downer last year, just because you could only have the one parent watching the game and games were reduced to just one game, as opposed to two or three."
Hallinan said the Eglinton club was lucky last year that it was able to play during the height of the pandemic.
"Our club maintained games throughout COVID. I know a lot of clubs weren't able to host games but we took it as a challenge, to keep momentum for rugby league and our club to provide sport for the kids," she said.
"Once something stops, it's hard getting things going again so we're very fortunate that we had things ticking over last year. That's definitely helped the club and people in general."
Besides some cold starts and some snow at Oberon earlier this month, Hallinan said this season has been a success.
"The weather has definitely played a great part, although we have had a lot of cold mornings, bit of rain and wind and we even encountered a bit of snow in our round at Oberon," she said.
"So far we haven't had to call off any rounds."
Eglinton's next mini-mod cluster round will be on July 24, which will be dedicated to fundraising and raising awareness for breast cancer.
"We'll have our committee members in pink, there'll be pink tutus, wigs. It'll definitely be a sight to be seen," Hallinan explained.
"We'll be looking to do fundraising, prizes for best dress.
"It's a bit of a cross promotion to paying our respect and thanking women in league, as well as raising awareness and fundraising for breast cancer."
