The Goats' success gives them a two point edge over Abercrombie FC in the race for first place, and it came at a crucial time for Panorama as they get set for their upcoming meeting against the AFC squad this weekend.
Panorama and Eglinton traded goals midway through the opening half to leave things 1-all at the break.
The Goats started strongly in the second half to find two more goals but Eglinton's ability to hit back immediately after the second of those efforts meant Panorama would have to give it everything to stay in front.
Panorama coach Brent Huie said the team will need to pick things up over the back half of the season but their determination over the back end of Sunday's game was great to watch.
"There's definitely a few things to work on. Eglinton really took the game to us and we got caught playing their style rather than the one we like to play ourselves," he said.
"Credit goes to Eglinton because they didn't let us play the way that we wanted to play. It was definitely not our best performance but it was great to get the win.
"We defended three corners in a row, and that's something that we've found difficult over the last couple of years. The girls stepped up and showed accountability and managed to keep them out over the last 12 minutes."
Teegan Ward's opening goal for Panorama was cancelled out by Eglinton before the break, but the Goats hit the front again after half-time thanks to a long range strike from Sarah Colman.
Colman doubled the advantage not long after from the penalty spot but the girls in blue and yellow got one back less than 60 seconds later, ensuring that the tension would remain high in the run home to the full-time whistle.
It was a scrappy success for the Panorama women but Huie said those are the kind of wins that make all the difference come the end of the season.
"We should have been home from there but after they scored it made for a nervous last 12 minutes but we were able to get the three points," he said.
"We were able to hang on, and you need to win ugly if you're going to win comps. That's a good sign."
Panorama and Abercrombie have maintained unbeaten records so far in the 2021 BDF ladies premier league.
