The Penrith Panthers pair are hoping to get back into the regular routine in daily life, as well as on the field, since all sporting competitions have come to a halt.
The public health protocols have also placed some restrictions on training but Adam Fearnley said it's thankfully not been the most difficult of things to work with.
"It's a bit of a two week layoff really so at the moment we're just training three days a week in group of 10, working with the COVID restrictions," he said.
"We're monitoring it so there's not too many of us there at a time. The NSW Cup and under 20s squad are doing a similar thing with Brad as well.
"At our Monday night session there wasn't contact, it's all more just about getting fitness and weights in and trying to maintain the level we're at.
"Hopefully the two weeks will be enough to clear things up and we get back to our regular schedule of footy."
All rugby league competitions in greater Sydney, Wollongong and the Central Coast are in suspension until Friday July 9.
There's no confirmation at this stage whether the lost matches will be played at some stage or removed from the season.
Fearnley has been enjoying match time in both the NSW Cup and Ron Massey Cup competitions.
He is back in the Panthers system again after COVID-19 cancellations in 2020 saw him join forces with Hills District for their President's Cup campaign.
"I've played two games of Canterbury [NSW] Cup this year and I'm in that squad over Monday and Tuesday, and then we got back to Massey," Fearnley said.
"I'm just trying to keep working my way up. All the clubs are running really well at the moment. NSW Cup has only been beaten once, same with the Ron Massey team, and obviously the first graders are flying at the moment.
"At training it's very competitive and everyone's lifting each other up. That's something that's filtering down through the grades. Even our under 20s are flying at the moment. It'll be a good back end to the year if we can keep things going."
Panthers currently boast a big six point buffer at the top of the NSW Cup ladder over the Parramatta Eels and the Jersey Flegg side are currently not far off the pace in their competition, sitting in third behind Wests Tigers and St George Illawarra.
