And Western NSW Local Health District chief executive officer Scott McLachlan says the city's vaccination centre is about to move to seven days a week to keep the momentum going.
"Over the last couple of weeks we've seen over 3000 people tested through the drive-through testing clinics in Bathurst," he said.
"We have now vaccinated over 2000 people in the last month in Bathurst with both Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines."

Mr McLachlan said the numbers of people coming forward for testing had been particularly high on Thursday and Friday, June 24 and 25, during that weekend and the start of last week.
"There was over 500 a day over the weekend [June 26 and 27]," he said.
Mr McLachlan said Bathurst's vaccination centre in William Street would be moving to a seven-day-a-week operation from this week.
"That will give us the ability to vaccinate more people every week," he said.
"That [vaccination] has been skyrocketing in the last couple of weeks.
"I really want to say thank you to the community for coming out to get tested.
"We know that with the current risks on the doorstep of Sydney, there's some real risk of COVID creeping over the Blue Mountains and into our region, so those numbers of people coming forward to get tested is really positive.
"So thank you to the community for coming and getting tested and doing all the right things, like wearing masks indoors, the hand-washing, checking into facilities with QR codes - that's going to be crucial to keeping our region safe from COVID in coming months."
