On Saturday as Waterford became just the second female at the club to notch up 50 games, the star back rower preferred to deflect praise on winger Jacinta Windsor.
The 18-year-old scored four tries to help Bathurst Bulldogs to a 45-5 win over Ferguson Cup rivals Orange Emus at Ashwood Park.
"She is a an amazing player and she has just grown in confidence since she went away with Central West. She now has the belief in her ability and she is unstoppable," Waterford said of Windsor.
"I really like watching these young girls come through, they are the future of our game, and the skill and ability that they have, it's just fantastic.
"It shows the growth in our game and development in our game from when I first started, seeing the young girls come through and the talent they have, it's just a thrill to watch."
As Waterford notched up her milestone match, it was fitting that it came against a club she represented for a number of seasons in Orange Emus.
She joined the greens in 2007 and was a member of the side which won the 2012 Central West Rugby Union women's grand final over CSU.
She set up the Emus' first try with a strong kick chase and scored their last with 45 seconds on the clock in that 49-9 triumph.
"We'd been to quite a few finals with Emus, but that was the one we won," she said.
Waterford's rugby resume also includes NSW Country caps, tasting Chikarovski Cup glory, touring New Zealand with Central West and skippering the Blue Bullettes to back-to-back Country Championship crowns.
As for Bathurst Bulldogs, Waterford has been part of their four consecutive premierships and is hoping to win another this season. Even if they don't, she's more the achieved what she'd hope to when first joining the club.
"It was always something I wanted to do since I moved to Bathurst, see a women's team at Bathurst, it's such a great club and it's great to have a women's team here just to showcase what they can do," she said.
In Saturday's win over Orange Emus, Bulldogs showcased some of what they could do.
Windsor crossed three times in the first half as she showed of her speed and confidence, fullback Mardi Watts doing likewise as she scored a brace by finding space on the edges.
For Brydie Comiskey is was about desperation when she dived on the ball to stop Emus winning a scrum against the feed in the first half - an effort which led to a try. In the second half she popped up pass in the process of being tackled to set up another.
As for Waterford, it was a typical Saturday. She ran hard, toiled at the breakdown and was solid in defence.
BATHURST BULLDOGS 45 (Jacinta Windsor 4, Mardi Watts 2, Lily McIntosh, Kate Gullifer, Ruby Clarke tries) defeated ORANGE EMUS 5 (Nikki D'Aquino try)
