Both the George Hotel and Panorama Motel will receive $25,000 each, with the former to use funding to cover the supply and install a voltage optimisation unit, while the latter will use funding to replace its hot water system and air conditioning.
Member for Calare, Andrew Gee, said the funding will help put more money back into the pockets of hotel operators.
MAKING NEWS:
"Hotels and motels across the region have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, with successive border closures and lockdowns taking their toll on booking numbers," he said.
"More efficient energy use is better for the environment and better for the balance sheets of our valuable small businesses which do so much for local employment and tourism."
Panorama Motel general manager Tim Fagan said the funding will help keep costs down.
"This funding, it's massive. It'll keep our costs down and keep our green house emissions down," he said.
"We'll be replacing the hot water system and air conditioning. We've got a big place, so it's a big job, so this money will be a big help."
Hotels in Gulgong, Mudgee and Rylstone also received $25,000 in funding.
