Bathurst Regional Council's Manager Works, Simon Armitage said the recent wet weather has resulted in a number of potholes forming at various locations.
Potholes have been a persistent problem during the winter months.
"We have three full-time crews dedicated to patching and improvement works (including pothole patching) and the focus at the moment is on patching potholes brought on by the wet weather," he said.
Cr Warren Aubin, from council's traffic committee said the potholes occur from cracks in the surface of the road, with water penetrating into the pavement below.

He said the pavement fails as a result of traffic passing over the weakened surface causing it to break out leaving the resulting pothole behind.
Cr Aubin said he noticed a number of new potholes had formed after last weeks rain, and had reported a few to council staff on Monday to be repaired.
He said on Monday night he spent time again researching pot hole repair machines, but said the cost was still a significant factor.
"They're not cheap, you're looking at about $300,000, but they do a good job," he said.
"They are a one-man operation, and I'll continue to look into them."
He encouraged anyone who sees a pothole to report its location to council, so they can send repair crews. To report a pothole call 6333 6111.
