AFTER an extremely busy first day of operation, and a slight hiccup in the evening, Bathurst's newest fast food restaurant hit the ground running on Tuesday.

Customers were lined up by mid-morning on day one at the restaurant in the Gateway development at Kelso and day two looked even busier.
Local franchise owner Nilesh Patel said he was extremely happy with the opening day on Monday.
"It was absolutely successful; people really loved us. Yeah, it was good, it was a very good day," he said.
The hiccup on day one came in the evening when an expected delivery didn't arrive in time.
With the stock delivery running late due to the lockdowns in Sydney, Mr Patel had to close for half an hour.

This gave the order time to arrive, but also gave the staff a break and a chance to catch up after a hectic day, he said.
Mr Patel is expecting the Bathurst Oporto store to be very successful, especially because it is the only one between Sydney and Dubbo.
The franchise specialises in fresh, Portuguese-style flame-grilled chicken that, the company says, is never frozen and is 100 per cent Australian and RSPCA approved.
It is the third business to open in the Gateway development off the Great Western Highway.
