It was announced over the weekend that the elections scheduled for September 4 had been postponed until December 4 amid ongoing COVID concerns across the state, and particularly in Greater Sydney.
Nominations for the election will now formally open on Monday, October 25 and run until Wednesday, November 3, though intending candidates can already register their plans to run.

The ballot draw, which could prove more important than ever in Bathurst with a field of 70-80 candidates tipped to be on the paper - including at least a dozen five-member tickets - will be held at 10am on Thursday, November 4.
The pre-poll voting period will begin on Monday, November 22, the same day that iVote applications and voting will open.
The polls will be open from 8am-6pm on election day.
