On Saturday Miller came off the bench as the Bulldogs posted a 70-5 win over Forbes, scoring two tries and assisting in a number of other five-pointers as she showed off her play making skills, speed and vision.
Having a player the calibre of Miller - a former NSW Country sevens representative - to use off the bench is something Bulldogs skipper Mardi Watts knows is a huge asset.
"It's really good to have her back. She did an ACL a couple of years ago then it flared up again in pre-season, so she's had most of this season off," Watts said.
"She's played a bit of rep stuff, a bit of New South Wales sevens, so she's certainly a nice player to have."
Miller is just one example of the depth within Bulldogs' squad. With the experienced players continuing to perform and newcomers rapidly improving, it allowed the side to make wholesale substitutions but still maintain control against Forbes as they fielded nine on nine.
"We pretty much did a full team swap at every quarter because we have so much depth and everyone is putting in the hard work at training. The level is getting a lot more even, so it's hard to get a starting squad at the moment," Watts said.
"We are training two nights a week and with that people are improving, Pip [McIntosh] and Jordo [Bull] are doing a really good job."
The Bulldogs opened the contest against Forbes in emphatic fashion as they looked to cement the minor premiership, Claudia McLaren crossing twice in as many minutes.
Smart back line shifts continued to create points as once given room, Bulldogs' speedy back line converted with Watts, Jacinta Windsor and Lily McIntosh also crossing to help the hosts to a 36-0 half-time lead.
Forbes was not without its chances as they enjoyed possession inside Bulldogs' half and scrumhalf Michelle Greenwood twice sliced through the line, but the likes of McLaren and Kate Gullifer came up with big defensive plays to keep their line intact.
In the second half Annie Craig, Demi Chapman, Bella McIntosh and Rugby Clarke all joined the try scorers' list while Miller bagged a brace in the final quarter. Forbes did score a consolation in the dying seconds, but it was a dominant display from the hosts.
BATHURST BULLDOGS 70 (Claudia McLaren 3, Jacinta Windsor 2, Teagan Miller 2, Mardi Watts, Lily McIntosh, Demi Chapman, Isabella McIntosh, Ruby Clarke tries; Teagan Miller 3, Kate Gullifer, Annie Craig conversions) defeated FORBES PLATYPI 5
