The Bathurst Giants have played all their senior home games at George Park 1 since joining the AFL Central West competition and in the five years since, the club has continued to grow in size.
That is what has senior men's coach Mark Kennedy thinking of a new home ground and he has already got a venue in mind which could become the new land of the Giants.
"Now they're taking the velodrome out at the Sportsground, what a wonderful AFL ground that would make," Kennedy said.
"It would the best ground in the Central West, with the velodrome gone it's a good size, they've already got good facilities there, there are going to be great lights, the surface is going to be improved.
"It would be an opportunity for us to get an AFLW game up here.
"The thing is we've got two clubs up at George Park and the facilities are nowhere near the facilities to manage that.
"There are three senior men's teams for the Bathurst Bushrangers and a senior women's team, we've got two senior men's teams and a senior women's team then you throw in all the junior sides, there's been a lot of growth.
"To be honest to cost for us to relocate to the Sportsground is zero, we could self-fund it."
