Sunday's Walk 'n Talk for Life event was the second organised by the Wambuul Life Connection Network after the previous event in May.
Wambuul Life Connection Network secretary Rachael Eldridge said the event was an opportunity for members of the community to start important conversations around mental health and suicide prevention.
"The word is certainly getting out there, and a lot more people are starting to really appreciate the message behind this event," Ms Eldridge said.
"We hope to turn this into a monthly event [weather and COVID permitting], and community engagement around mental health fits in nicely with what we're trying to achieve with the network."
The Wambuul Life Connection Network formed last year to act on suicide prevention and lessen the stigma around mental health across the region.
"There's around 50 of us involved in the network, including community members constituting a diverse snapshot of the local community," Ms Eldridge said.
"We all share the same goal: to encourage important, life-saving discussions around mental health and to let vulnerable members of the community know they're not alone."
The event included a sausage sizzle, which was provided entirely by Woolworths Bathurst.
