On Saturday afternoon at Diggings Oval Hanrahan had a premiership medal around her neck and the cup in her hand after the Mungals beat Orange United 34-0 in the Mid West League league tag grand final.
That win made it an unbeaten campaign and had Hanrahan smiling.
"I never have been to a grand final before, I'd played with Pat's my whole life and unfortunately we weren't one of the greatest side in the 18s," Hanrahan said.
"I've been playing for five years now ... this is my first time playing in an open grade and first successful season in an open grade.
"I needed a change in life and new faces, new friends, new story. There's nothing else to it, I wouldn't go back, I think I'll be with CSU for a long time.
"Coming to Mungals, I'm a fresher this year, I love it. Great community, great club, everyone gets behind everyone."
There was certainly plenty of vocal supporters cheering the Mungals and the Mungoes on as CSU played in and won two grand finals on the same afternoon.
"To have a home grand final with the boys and the girls - amazing. It was a good turn out and for us it couldn't have been better, we won to nil," Hanrahan said.
While CSU led 24-0 with a quarter to play, the 19-year-old was still nervous until the final minutes.
"We've played games before - specifically that game against Oberon when we were up in the third quarter and ended up drawing - so I knew anything could happen at any stage in the game and it was just play it by ear," she said.
"They have improved greatly since the start of the year Orange, when they came out their defence was amazing and I honestly thought it was anyone's game. It would have been horrible if we'd gone the whole year undefeated and lost that, so it was great to win."
