It follows the installation of a roundabout at the intersection of Rocket and Rankin streets.
It also comes about a year after the completion of a roundabout and upgrade to the intersection of Mitre, Suttor and Lambert streets.
Member for Bathurst Paul Toole has announced black spot funding for the new mini roundabout to be installed at the intersection of Peel and Morrisset streets.
He said the $127,625 project will be delivered by Bathurst Regional Council.
"I have inspected that intersection with councillor Warren Aubin from Bathurst Regional Council's Traffic Committee and it's clear that installing a roundabout at the intersection will ensure better and safer traffic movements through that location," he said.
Cr Aubin said he was pleased to meet with the state MP about the matter a number of months ago, and said the project will ensure a safer intersection for all motorists in a busy part of town.
Mr Toole said the black spot program targets road locations where crashes are occurring.
"Programs of this sort are very effective, saving the community many times the cost of the relatively minor road improvements," he said.
