Bathurst Thoroughbred Racing is preparing for a seven race meeting this Monday, drawing interest from both local and travelling trainers.
The meeting has received solid support considering the challenges COVID-19 is presenting for all industry participants, with four races reaching the field limit.
The 84 acceptances are down on the triple figures we've seen in the past at Bathurst meetings but pulling strong fields is still a welcome sight for Bathurst officials.
Bathurst, like every other thoroughbred racing track across the state, has been able to continue operating under strict COVID-19 protocols for all participants.
While there won't be any crowd at Bathurst on Monday there will still be plenty of reasons for local punters to get behind the event, thanks to a large presence of home trained horses.
Dean Mirfin leads the Bathurst charge with four runners.
Camo's Dream makes a third career start in the opening maiden of the day, the Hothams Sand Soil and Gravel Maiden Handicap (1,200 metres) and Neon Moon will be the following event, the JB Civil Concreting F&M Maiden Handicap (1,200m), making a first up run from a 17 week spell.
I Am Capitan is set to start as top weight in the Erin's Quality Outdoor Power Centre Class 3 Handicap (1,100m) and stablemate Mont Genep looks to find some form in the same event.
Wanda Ings' duo of Bally Brook and Puja also race alongside Neon Moon in the maiden race, all looking to upset several classy provincial and fellow regional challengers.
Ings' Memphis Beau is also in action this Monday in the Pearce Furniture and Bedding Lithgow Maiden Plate (1,400m).
The five-year-old came within a head of breaking his maiden status last start as favourite and will be one to watch this time around.
Ashlee Grives' Eye Will and Gayna Williams' Vascotto and We Can't Be Beaten round out the Bathurst contingent at Tyers Park.
Eye Will is yet to place this preparation but Grives will hope that changes in the Kennards Hire Benchmark 58 Handicap (2,000m) - a distance he has contested before.
Vascotto is a new arrival to the Williams stable, jumping over from Clare Cunningham's operation after just three career starts.
Veteran We Can't Be Beaten is back home for the third start of his preparation, chasing an elusive Bathurst win after two placings at the track.
Racing starts 1.25pm.
