Ms Callinan said the relationship Arts OutWest shares with council is essential to the furthered support of creative and performing arts, as well as cultural tourism.
"The MOU helps both Arts OutWest and council understand how we can work together to tailor solutions to benefit our respective interests and those of the wider community," Ms Callinan said.
Council will continue to make a contribution of 68 cents per head of population each financial year to Arts OutWest, equating to just under $30,000 annually.
Ms Callinan said Arts OutWest works right across the board to secure funding assistance and further promote arts and cultural practitioners, ranging from amateurs to professionals.
"We're here to assist and advise everyone across the board, whether it be visual artists, musicians, theatre performers and dancers, as well as gallery and museum operators," she said.
"First and foremost, our role is to enable arts and culture to thrive across the Arts OutWest area, which encompasses Bathurst, Orange, Lithgow, Mudgee, Cowra and surrounding areas, though ongoing support and advocacy."
Ms Callinan said Arts OutWest assists the arts community through funding pathways and applications, business plans, professional development, networking and promotion.
"The four focus areas in our current strategic plan include Aboriginal arts development [helping First Nations artists develop and sell their work], health [arts programs in small hospitals and health care facilities], cultural tourism and music, the latter of which we feel has been hit the hardest by COVID-19," she said.
Arts OutWest recently helped secure funding for a COVID-inspired album featuring original musicians from across the region.
