The Bathurst Lions Farmers' Market will not take place next Saturday as originally planned due to the current stay-at-home orders affecting regional NSW.

Market co-ordinator Paul Haysom said it would've been too difficult to operate the event around current public health orders, especially given most stallholders would be unable to attend.
"We feel it's in the best interests of everyone that we cancel next weekend's market, as the 'cons' clearly outnumber the 'pros' regarding putting it on," Mr Haysom said.
"The whole region will still be in lockdown next Saturday, so to us, this is the safest cause of action."
Mr Haysom said he is hopeful the market can return as normal in the Bathurst Showground on the last Saturday of September
