On Wednesday night at the Bathurst Paceway Turnbull drove four winners - Miss Lemon, Sweet Heaven, Wattlebank Lass and Cassius Deck - to extend her lead in the club's 2021 premiership to 28 victories.
It took her tally of wins at Bathurst in the past week to eight, having picked up a winning treble the previous Wednesday and another success on Friday.
Remarkably it was also the 57th time in her career that Turnbull had steered four or more winners at a meeting and the 31st time she'd done it at Bathurst.
On top of that, Wednesday night's effort took Turnbull's tally of wins in New South Wales this season to 96.
Though all of her successful runners on Wednesday night were favourites, Turnbull was still a little surprised when getting the job done with Miss Lemon ($1.10) in the Woodlands Stud Lather Up Series (1,730 metres) pace for mares.
The three-year-old is not know for her sprinting ability and last start at Parkes had finished more than 88 metres off the pace.
"She's a lot better at town than at home thank God," Turnbull said.
"She probably lacks more toughness than anything, that's why she went so slow when they were sprinting up the straight, but she tried and she actually had a go.
"I am bit surprised, but it's just more of a relief, because her last start she went like she can - like really bad - so we couldn't work out what happened, but hopefully after tonight she sparks back up."
Though not the best when it comes to sprinting, Miss Lemon had shown gate sped when winning at Parkes on August 6 and again on Wednesday night got away well from barrier two.
It meant she crossed to take the lead then eased back the tempo through a 62.8 seconds first half. With 800 to go she had a five metres buffer over Classical Music.
Into the bend Yellow Bow closed to within a head, but Miss Lemon was able to go on with it, winning by 1.7m over Classical Music ($13).
