However, the current COVID-19 lockdown in the region is threatening to prevent Bulldogs from giving the decider a shake up.
Verdelho remains the only unbeaten team through the back end of the local competition since the A grade split midway through the season, and they currently boast a winning streak that goes all the way back to round two.
The competition's grand final was originally scheduled to take place on September 11 - just one day after the lockdown is set to end.
Bathurst Netball Association are yet to release a roadmap for what they would do if the lockdown were to end at its expected date, since jumping straight back into a first-versus-second grand final might not be a feasible solution.
In the eyes of Bulldogs' Kate Burns any extension to the lockdown is likely going to spell an end to the team's premiership hopes.
"If we were to come out of lockdown then the next day would be grand final day but I can't see that we'd be getting back on the court. I'm not sure how we'd go with playing a final without any games leading up to it," she said.
"I'm not sure whether they'd try pushing the dates back to maybe have semi-finals then a final.
"To be honest, I don't see us coming out of lockdown at this rate."
Bulldogs won a tough clash with Scots All Saints College, 36-25, in their latest regular season game on August 7 and were preparing for a big game against Collegians Mystified when the competition had to come to a stop.
A win in that game would have secured the minor premiership.
Burns said the 2021 season was a surprising success for the Bulldogs after they came into the competition uncertain about how things would play out for them.
"It's disappointing because we were going quite well," she said.
"We weren't too sure about how we would go this year but we were able to keep the core group of our players together from last season and we only lost one game.
"We looked like we were going to be very competitive come finals time."
Netball NSW recently announced the cancellation of several premier competitions such as the Country Challenge (September 25 and 26), Regional State Cup (October 2 and 3) and Masters State Titles and Social Masters (October 16 and 17).
