Riley was in his second year of action with Mounties and welcomed Brady to the team for the NSW Cup and Ron Massey seasons.
Mounties were sitting sixth in the NSW Cup race and were right in the finals mix with 15 rounds of action completed.
Riley Cheshire said it's been a tough battle over the past few years.
"I was playing a mixture of NSW Cup and Ron Massey. We managed to get a little more than half way through competition," he said.
"We were running high in both competitions and going pretty good. It's the same deal as last year with COVID cancelling things so I haven't been able to play much footy."
That was pretty special. We hadn't played together since 2017 during the St Pat's days.

Cheshire was keen to see what he could bring to the table for Mounties after the chance was taken away from him and his teammates in 2020.
"Last year when COVID first hit, and we had the whole year off, I came back feeling pretty good after I had the year to rest the body," he said.
"I was feeling good in pre-season and it was probably the rest that I needed, to be honest. I got the call up to play cup and had Brady come along for a crack as well.
"He was living in Bathurst and wanted to have a crack so he moved in with me and we started playing together. That was pretty special. We hadn't played together since 2017 during the St Pat's days."
Mounties had won two of their last three games prior to the COVID lockdown, with victories over Penrith Panthers and St George keeping them in the race for a top four prize.
