From November 1 to 30, the art fair will expand the audience outreach and extend support for local artists, with all artworks to be available for purchase online at prices to suit numerous budgets.
Artist Nic Mason, who's work will be featured among some 30 artists from across the region, said the fair is a great opportunity for artists to have their work exhibited and sold, as well as furthering the reach of the Bathurst Regional Art Gallery's [and its associated Society's] work in the local community.
"Artistry is all about communication and being human, and these fairs are a great way to connect with the community and tell local stories," Ms Mason said.
Bathurst Regional Art Gallery Society [BRAGS] president Annette Crothers said online art fair will benefit local artists further in the sense it may increase the purchasing power of artworks.
"I'd envisage local artists have had plenty of time to create stellar works of art given the fact COVID-19 and lockdowns have largely affected the past two years," Ms Crothers said.
"The online format will allow for a more creative approach to artwork display, and may entice more interest from people who wouldn't regularly visit the gallery."
Artists must register by completing the online application form by midnight on Sunday 17 October.
The online entry form is available at www.bathurstart.com.au/artfair.
