The Love Your Local online raffle will have $5000 worth of Bathurst Buy Local Gift Cards on offer for successful entrants to peruse the wide range of unique local businesses Bathurst has to offer.
Bathurst RSL Club general manager Peter Sargent said the club was keen to reach out to businesses in some form post-lockdown, as well as raise the profile of Buy Local Gift Cards.
"We're conscious of the fact this lockdown has placed significant pressure on people and businesses around town, and we really want to give something back to the business community," Mr Sargent said.
"Everyone who has been closed during this period has suffered financially and emotionally trying to work around public health orders, so we hope this raffle can help kickstart the local economy's road to recovery."
The raffle includes $500, $300 and $200 gift cards for first second and third respectively, as well as 40 $100 gift cards, with 30 tickets costing $5.
"There's around 130 participating businesses in the Buy Local Gift Card program, and we're using this raffle as a way to highlight the many outstanding businesses in our community," Mr Sargent said.
"We've been encouraged already by the community's response."
The raffle draw will take place on Friday at noon, and will be streamed live from the RSL Club's Facebook page.
