Gyms will reopen for the fully vaccinated from next Monday under the one person per four square metre rule, with classes up to 20 people able to go ahead under the 70 per cent roadmap.
Anytime Fitness Bathurst owner Brook Hurditch said the gym is incredibly excited to welcome their members back from next Monday.
"We can't wait to get back into it," Ms Hurditch said.
"A lot of people rely on the gym as a place to enhance social, mental and physical wellbeing, it covers so many areas and I think everyone is excited to return."
Ms Hurditch said the gym has continued to engage with members throughout the lockdown period through a series of fitness challenges to work on at home.
"We've been setting the challenges online, and we've also had an online health hub set up for members to view video workouts with one of our trainers," Ms Hurditch said.
"Some of our members have purchased home gyms, but they all agree there's no place like the gym as it provides more motivation to work on fitness."
While admitting uncertainty as to what to expect in terms of needing to monitor vaccination status for the first few weeks post-lockdown, Ms Hurditch said many members have already taken the initiative to inform the gym directly.
"I've had a lot of members send through their 'double vaccination' status already so they can return without hassle, a lot of the administration work I'm currently working on is centred around this and revising the COVID-safe plan," she said.
"On the other hand, our unvaccinated members have been respectful of the new rules and, in all honesty, we can't wait to welcome everyone back, whether vaccinated or non-vaccinated as people in both instances are valued members."
Greater freedoms are expected for unvaccinated residents once NSW is 90 per cent fully vaccinated, which is projected to occur by December 1.
