Initially No Limit Boxing, which is run by Bathurst brothers George, Matt and Trent Rose, had scheduled the super-welterweight fight between Tszyu - who they promote - and Japan's Inoue for November 17 on the Gold Coast.
But with the impact of hotel quarantine in mind, the Rose brothers last week opted to move the bout to Sydney's Qudos Bank Area. It will go ahead on the same date.
George Rose, No Limit's chief executive officer, is excited at the prospect of the Sydney event.
"For us it's about making sure that we've got a great live experience and the well-being of our fighters as well," he said.
"One thing that we do is we never take any shortcuts when it comes it putting on great events here at No Limit and we want to make sure this is another fantastic, memorable night.
"I think this will be one of the most memorable sporting events for Sydney for 2021.
"I think after 16 weeks of lockdown, this is the pressure valve [release] that Sydney's needed.
"Tim Tszyu is Australia's number one fighter and to have him here in front of up to 10,000 fans who have been craving live sporting action - I can't sympathise with Sydney fans enough for missing out on all the rugby league, the rugby union, all the big live sporting matches, now you get the chance to see Tim Tszyu here live."
Tszyu, who the Rose brothers have been promoting since in 2019, will be chasing his 20th his 20th consecutive win in a fight designed to help him prepare for a shot at the WBO world title.
Amongst those who will be in the crowd are frontline health workers - No Limit offering 1,000 free tickets for those who fall into that category.
"We really respect the hard work all front line health workers have done. We would love to give back in a small way and allow them to enjoy a great night of entertainment on us," Rose said.
