He may only be relatively new to the studio recording side of things, but former Bathurst musician Nick Moses has already started to make waves as an emerging singer-songwriter in Wollongong, where he's called home for the last couple of years.

Moses has released two singles in 2021: 'Lady of My Dreams' and 'Baby I'm Lonely': both which adequately reflect his penchant for acoustic-driven ballads driven by feelings of unrequited love and moving on, much in the same vein as fellow St Stanislaus' College alumni Ben Rudgley and George Sargent.
Starting with a relaxing acoustic riff, Moses eases into 'Lady of My Dreams' with heartfelt lyrics and soothing harmonies, echoing the early love songs of The Beatles, The Kinks and The Byrds.
There isn't really much to the song except Moses' voice and guitar, but it's all 'Lady of My Dreams' needs: a simple, effective love ballad that would feel at home among anything Paul McCartney has ever written.
The sound of 'Baby I'm Lonely', on the other hand, immediately feels more familiar to the modern listener, and the Vance Joy comparisons are immediately obvious on first listen.
But Moses' McCartney-esque voice manages to make the tune stand on its own two feet, and is complemented well by a delicate acoustic guitar riff.
Both songs showcase Moses as a talented musician with a natural gift for melody, and in most cases, all it takes is a simple, engaging hook to craft a memorable tune.
For the last four years, Moses has been steadily writing his own music, as well as producing some rather unique interpretations of well-known contemporary hits.
Moses is also a regular on the gig circuit throughout the Wollongong area.

Moses also has an expansive Youtube channel featuring a range of originals and covers he has self-recorded, dating back to 2016.
'Lady of My Dreams' and 'Baby I'm Lonely' are both available on all streaming platforms.
