Principal Kate Salmon said the school had been notified of the case and was now working with Catholic Schools NSW and NSW Health to follow all protocols.
Students and staff have been asked to self-isolate until further information is available while anyone who is feeling unwell has been asked to get tested immediately for COVID-19.
News of the temporary closure comes as Bathurst braces for confirmation of more new COVID cases today.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
The Western Advocate understands two new Bathurst region cases will be included in today's numbers, including one person who had been active in the community while infectious.
Those new cases follow a single case reported in yesterday's numbers who was a household contact of a known case and had not been infectious in the community.
NSW chief health officer Dr Kerry Chant yesterday indicated she would be particularly interested in next week's case numbers as an indicator of how much the end of lockdown has influenced the spread of the virus in NSW.
