As a parting gift, the Bathurst Arts Council has distributed their remaining funds to the Evans Arts Council and the Bathurst Eisteddfod Society for the purpose of supporting youth arts cultural activities.
A donation has also been given to the Festival of Bells.
"We feel very proud to have been involved in the cultural activities of this great community for so long," Bathurst Arts Council president Libby Loneragan said.
"But with so many wonderful cultural events now receiving plenty of support in the Bathurst community, the Arts Council feels it has served its purpose and run its course."
The Bathurst Arts Council played a prominent role in securing the development of a professional theatre in the community [Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre, since 1999], and has been the key body behind the Youth Arts Awards, Brucedale concerts, the Rhapsody in Blue dinner and various other community-centric cultural activities.
"We're delighted to see our remaining funds get invested into the future of the arts in Bathurst," Ms Loneragan said.
Evans Arts Council president Wendy-lou Tisdell said the organisation has recently appointed Jasmyn Nankervis as their first Youth Representative, with a goal to expand the appeal of the group to younger crowds.
"We will be holding 'come and try' days to introduce our youth to the many arts and crafts taught by our members," Ms Tisdell said.
"Another goal is to increase the junior sections of our regular community Art and Craft shows."
Bathurst Eisteddfod Society president Renee Fowler said the Bathurst Arts Council has played a key role over the years supporting the eisteddfod through youth scholarships.
"We expect these scholarships will continue for future eisteddfods," Ms Fowler said.
"The Arts Council has been a wonderful supporter of ours over the years, having helped a number of talented young musicians, dancers and theatre performers."
