Owner Mick Hickey said it was a great result, given the weather.
"Opening Day was great, we had two birthday parties out here on Saturday and everyone loved it.
"We haven't been here for two years, so it's really good to be back.
"The weather was poor, but we still got close to 200 people which I thought was great."
Given yesterday's miserable weather, Mr Hickey didn't open on Sunday, but said the park will be open every Saturday and Sunday until December 17. From then on it will run seven days a week in conjunction with the school holidays.
He said the park has also been inundated with school bookings, including schools as far away as Dubbo who are coming over to Bathurst just to utilise the park.
"It's definitely the biggest aqua park in the country, certainly out west," he said.
Originating from Lithgow, Mr Hickey said he always wanted to bring the aqua park out this way, and he is loving being back in Bathurst and the region.

Bathurst Regional Councillor, Alex Christian said it was great to see the aqua park back.
"I was really excited to see the Bathurst Aqua Park open on Saturday. It's the largest inland aqua park in Australia, it's so unique and Bathurst is so fortunate to have it on our front door step."
"For tourism it's right up there with anything else Bathurst has to offer with thousands of people coming from all over Western NSW to visit"
"I worked very hard with the owners to make sure this Park came to Bathurst and I'm incredibly proud Bathurst has an Aqua Park to call it's own," he said.
The aqua park looks similar to what it did in 2018, with some new equipment added to the layout. For more information visit the Bathurst Aqua Park website.
