Griffith was a member of the Sydney Thunder squad that qualified for the semi-final of the 2017-18 WBBL against Perth at Optus Stadium, but she never featured in the final 11 that lost by 27 runs.
Griffith's teammate and South African international Marizanne Kapp said the result was a "solid team performance".

"Today was really solid a team performance, they're a really good bunch of players and hopefully it's something we can do every year," she said.
While early wickets were key as the Strikers survived two must-win finals to reach Saturday's decider, the Scorchers made it through the power play without loss, Devine and Mooney putting on 37 runs.
The dangerous opening pair - who have scored more than 1500 runs together for Perth over the past two seasons - finally had their stand come to an end in the eighth over as Mooney holed out to Strikers skipper Tahlia McGrath.
At that stage it was 1-52.
Three overs later Devine (35 off 33) was gone as well, a direct hit run-out from Dane van Niekerk sending her on her way.
Scorchers finished at 5-146 with Griffith, who was listed at number eight, not required to bat.
The Scorchers had the Strikers at 2-16 after the power play, the lowest total for the Adelaide outfit across the opening six overs this season.
Griffith was thrown the ball for the first time in the seventh over, a time when the pressure was mounting on her rivals as the required run rate had pushed out to 9.27 runs per over.
The Bathurst quick conceded just three runs off her first five deliveries, but South African Laura Wolvaardt managed to send ball six to the boundary.
However, Griffith got a measure of revenge in the 15th over when she caught out Wolvaardt off the bowling of Heather Graham. Proving safe under a skied ball, the Bathurst talent helped to reduce her rivals to 4-81.
