The centre manager praised the quality and the size of the fields across all grades, plus the tennis that Matt Stewart and Tayla Brasier produced to win the opens singles titles.
Mitton said after an interrupted year of tennis it was wonderful to see so many members supporting the club.
"We around 60 members that came out to play across the two days. Every grade had a good number of entries and each event was very competitive," he said.
"Matt and Tayla played four strong matches to win their open titles. Each category had at least five competitors, so there was good depth there."
Several players enjoyed success across both singles and doubles over the weekend, in a great display of flexibility.
The A grade singles titles were claimed by Eden McDonogh and Rebekha Fisher while the B grade glory went to Chris McEwen and Sarah Edwards.
The pairing of Christian Dowling and Matt Gibson proved too tough to overcome in the men's opens doubles and the Mitton sisters - Gabby and Dominique - showed how it was done in the women's.
A grade men's doubles glory went to Mark Wilkinson and Izaak Scott while Caitlin Speirs and Fisher were the women's champs.
Stacey Markwick and Evelyn Andrews won B grade women's doubles and the men's trophy went to McEwen and Jayden Brasier.
Harry Evans and Tayla Brasier were too strong in the opens mixed doubles while Wilkinson and Edwards had everyone's measure in A grade.
McEwen completed a title treble alongside Andrews, who also added another doubles title to her in the B grade mixed battle.
Mitton said the atmosphere across the two days of action at the Bathurst Tennis Club was perfect, and the quality of play was remarkable.
"Overall it probably the best standard I've seen in my 12 years there," he said.
"They all had long days and some people were playing a lot of matches. There was a lot of good tennis played.
"The club put on a barbeque lunch for them on Sunday. That was giving back a bit to all the members.
"The weather was perfect in the end. We had a late start with a bit of drizzle in the morning then it stayed overcast on Saturday, which was good for tennis, and then it was a beautiful day on Sunday."
