Both teams missed their second opportunity to get off the mark in the Twenty20 competition two weeks ago when rain cancelled their fixtures - and the wet weather is threatening to do it to them for a second time.
They each lost their opening round clashes in Pool A and will be desperate to get the points from this Friday's clash.
Kinross may have taken a step back from the Bathurst Orange Inter District Cricket competition this season but that won't be a reason for the Bulls to take the school squad lightly.
Since stepping down to Orange District Cricket Association's second grade competition Kinross' 1st XI squad have won two of their three games, dropping their only match in a close contest with Cavaliers.
Centennials have shown glimpses of potential over their limited Bathurst Orange Inter District Cricket appearances this season.
Kurt Toole doesn't need much time at all to get his eye in, as he showed in his innings of 98 back in the opening round of BOIDC action against Orange City, along with his 36 in the team's only other Bonnor Cup game this season against City Colts.
Mick Hutchinson shapes up as one of the Bulls' other leading all-round threats this season. He top scored with 40 in the Bulls' BOIDC loss to Colts just under a fortnight ago.
He'll be needed this Friday in the bowling ranks especially.
Regular Bulls opener Zane Newham has a back injury that makes him unavailable to bowl, and Daniel Bryant's absence also hurts the Centennials batting order.
Peter McCleary, Ehsan Ahmad and Tyler Horton are likely to be some of the players Bulls turn to in order to try and lift the team of the bottom of the ladder in their pool and to keep their finals hopes alive.
CYMS are currently the only Pool A team to have gone two from two this season, while Colts are 1-1 from their pair of games.
Remaining Pool A sides St Pat's Old Boys and Orange City are yet to play a Twenty20 game this season.
