Ms Gullifer was earlier this year diagnosed with breast cancer which has since spread to her brain.
Further surgery and treatment is required, including a drug that is not currently listed on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS), meaning she will have to cover the cost herself.
To help pay for the drug, Ms Gullifer set up a GoFundMe page at the start of the week with a target of raising $55,000.
But in just days the page has raised more than $80,000, with hundreds of people chipping in to help.
Ms Gullifer said she was blown away by the response.

"I was as overwhelmed as you could get," she said.
"When I share my story with friends and family, the first thing I'm asked is, 'how do we help?'
"I won't be able to work or do a lot at all during my treatment and I currently have a four-month-old son. So, to me, that equals a rather large burden on my beautiful fiancé and family - emotionally, physically and financially, which in turn creates more stress for me.
"The drug I need to take is not covered on the PBS and is a two-year-long treatment.
"So, what I'm asking for is financial help to at least alleviate that part of the stress of treatment."
Ms Gullifer will have to undergo radiation to both her breast and brain, followed by a double mastectomy and removal of reproductive organs to help prevent the cancer reappearing in her body.
She will then need a follow-up drug called Lynparza.
Ms Gullifer has already indicated that if she raises more money than her original target she will donate the surplus to another person in need of the drug.
Ms Gullifer said she was open to people asking about the treatment.
"Please ask any and all questions about the drug/treatment you like," she said.
"I figure the more people that know about this, the more common it will become and maybe one day it will make it onto the PBS."
A tight-knit group of family and friends supporting her through this difficult time have made the difference.
"I want to say a huge thank you to everyone that's helped me and my family through this so far," she said.
