Council received a request from the Wright family to name the walkway between 41 and 43-45 Keppel Street 'Allan Wright Walkway', in recognition of Mr Wright's service and commitment to the Bathurst community.
Mr Wright, who died in 2020, was the founding owner of Central Commercial Printers and bought the premises of Wright Heaton, before converting it into the Central Commercial Printers building as it is today.

Council recently concluded the public exhibition period for the idea and, if no objections were received during that time, the name will be adopted.
Mr Wright's son, Peter, is grateful the request was supported by council.
"We're so thankful Bathurst Regional Council has given us the opportunity to recognise Dad this way, and it's a legacy for all his great work with the business community, with his volunteering and the input he has made to the city," he said.
Jess Jennings, who was a councillor when the decision to proceed with the request was made, said the name was a long time coming and part of the plans to improve Keppel Street.
"It's ideal, absolutely perfect, and it's so nice to see an intergenerational business being able to be part of the naming process, and we're looking at getting some quotes done to have a plaque set up to recognise Peter and Lisa's dad," he said.
