On Saturday the 15-year-old was the star as ORC made a brilliant start to its Bathurst District Cricket Association presidents cup match against Bathurst City Quigley.
He took 5-18 off his 6.6 overs, the last two victims of the innings coming on consecutive deliveries.
"I'm on a hat-trick the next game, so that's pretty exciting," he enthused.
"Yeah, I'm thinking about the hat-trick ball. I've got so much plans in my head, so I guess I'll see which one I do."
While it remains to be seen if he can strike first-up when he next gets the chance to bowl, Archer's five-for is something he can relish.
He is just the second player in the presidents cup this season to pull off the feat, following on from Bathurst Bushrangers talent Amy Corbett who took an amazing 5-9 off her four overs against Rugby Union in early November.
"That was my first one, it felt great, it was amazing," he said of the five-for.
"I've not particularly been bowling for long but I've recently been pretty good at it, so I've been going for wickets."
Archer now also sits on top of the leading wicket-takers list in his competition, having claimed 12 victims across four matches.
He's also given ORC a chance to jump from sixth into the top four as he helped bowl out Bathurst City Quigley for 92 then the Tigers reached 3-84 in reply before stumps on day one of their two-day clash.
Archer took two wickets with the new ball on Saturday at Learmonth Park 1, putting Bathurst City in early trouble at 3-13.
Did he expect then he was on for something special? "Absolutely not" the teenager revealed.
However, as the match unfolded Archer continued to bowl well and after finishing his first spell, could not wait to get the ball back in his hands.
"Give me the ball - that's exactly what I was thinking. I just had a break for a little bit and would come back the next spell, that's what the captain told me," he said.
"When I came back on he told me to go after it, so I was happy to respond."
Archer went on to polish off the Bathurst City tail - Ruben Martin-Clark helping him out with a pair of catches - to enjoy his best day with the ball thus far.
"They were prime, they were amazing. I was absolutely happy with them," Archer said.
"Sometimes the wickets you can get are pretty easy, but these wickets, they were good players so it was good to knock them over.
"The pitch was not bouncing a lot, so I just put it on a good length and if it doesn't bounce then it will stay low, if it did bounce it would go high.
"It was those areas in a good length that were playing tricks, so that's where to bowl.
"Everyone was up. Yeah I did raise the ball. I loved it."
ORC needs nine more runs this Saturday to claim first innings honours, with seven wickets still in hand.
