Via a series of workshops and group discussions, the program addresses the increasing need for private companies and public organisations to obtain external support in the adoption of effective training and policies to respond to a variety of complex issues.
Through a powerpoint presentation that generated a great deal of public interest and participation, Ms Fox presented a series of principles crucial to personal safety in the workplace.
The overarching focus of her demonstration was to educate the public about a series of "responder" essentials, thus ensuring that workplaces foster safe and supportive environments to enable conditions for safe disclosure in the case of assault or harassment.
Significantly, empathy was identified as a key element in enacting "trauma informed" policies.
Readiness and awareness were vital themes in preventing a climate of fear and mistrust building among employers and employees.
A lack of gender diversity was identified as a contributing factor to what can be entrenched cultures of workplace patriarchy.
Ms Fox's presentation also revealed that businesses incur a great deal of cost - by way of both a financial and reputational loss - when sexual harassment and assault disclosures are not properly dealt with.
An example provided was the recent public sex scandal involving Cricket Australia and centred on the now ex-Australian team captain Tim Paine.
