Libby Daniewska and Emily Hayes, who are part of the committee elected at the AGM late last month, say they want to encourage those with a "creative spark and who would like to do something with it" to consider being involved with the organisation.
"Get in touch, come join us, read a few plays and just generally hang around other creatives and get excited about what we can do," Ms Daniewska said.
"We have a myriad of talent here in Bathurst, so we're really excited about showcasing that."
The president and vice-president say they are excited about the coming year.
"We've got a few works in the pipeline, one of which is a collection of monologues for International Women's Day, which will be on in March," Ms Daniewska said.
"We are going to collaborate with local writers and a local director."
A reading was held earlier this month for a play by local writer Phil Sanders, who used to write for Home And Away, and interest is being sought from those who would like to be involved - from acting to being part of the backstage crew.
A play by Chris Bacon is cast and will be performed in May, Ms Daniewska said, "and we will have something on towards the end of the year as well; it's just not confirmed what it is yet".
IN OTHER NEWS AROUND BATHURST:
Ms Daniewska and Ms Hayes say they would like to hear from anyone who is interested in becoming a member and getting involved with the theatre company, "whether it's the production side, costuming, make-up, promotions, marketing, directing, acting, pretty much anything".
And that includes young talent.
"Young people who are interested in getting into the theatre or the arts or the production side of things who don't know where to start, this is a great place to start," Ms Daniewska said.
