Around seven local businesses will have market stalls set up when the event gets under way from 5pm tomorrow, including Eclectic Colour, a vibrant Keppel Street business featuring a wide range of home decor and giftware.
Eclectic Colour manager Sarah Campbell said the business prides itself on engaging with the local community.
"Businesses with shop-fronts are often unable to attend community events due to the demands that come with running the store, so we like to get out to markets and community events wherever possible," Ms Campbell said.
"These sorts of events also attract different demographics of people who may not always have the time to peruse up and down Keppel Street during the day."
Ms Campbell said it's important for small businesses to have a presence at council events and markets, as it allows greater opportunity to expand their business reach and meet new people.
"Smaller businesses have faced plenty of difficulties throughout the pandemic, so any opportunity to reach out to new people is always welcome," she said.
"There will be plenty of other market stalls at Party in the Park selling unique goods as well, so I highly recommend the community takes a bit of a gander to pick up an ideal gift in time for the new year."
Eclectic Colour will be joined at the market stall section by Artesian Opal & Gem, Eonia Organics, Kaniz Lights, The Body Shop at Home, Pick of the Scrunch and The Label Queen.
NYE Party in the Park will commence at 5pm on Friday. For more information, visit the Bathurst Regional Council website.
