IT'S a mission he at first joked about with a good mate, but now Fletcher Norris is hungry to guide the Bathurst under 15s boys side he coaches to glory at their Hockey NSW State Indoor Championships.

Norris is no stranger to indoor hockey, he's represented New South Wales in the past, but come this weekend in Orange he will make his debut as a coach of a Bathurst representative side.
The 17-year-old will have Ben Watson at his side to help as manager and he has faith that his side can qualify for the final.
"We were sort of joking about it one day in class when they were looking for coaches then we were like 'Hold on, we could do this'. So we put our names up and here we are," he said.
"I've never coached a Bathurst rep side before, but I have coached at club level. I'm heaps keen, I've actually played with half of them.
"I'm really excited about it, especially with the couple of imports from Goulburn that we've got, they're really strong players. They've got an indoor comp in Goulburn, so they're very strong."
One of the Goulburn talents who will line up for Bathurst is Bailey Craig. In 2019 when Bathurst took out the division two boys under 13s title he was also there.
Having Craig back from that outfit that went through undefeated, as well as fellow under 13s gold medallists Seth Norris, Deklin Unsworth, Blake Livingstone and Brayden Furner, is something that Norris hopes will be an asset as they chase glory in the under 15s boys division two competition.
"It's a similar side to what they were back in 13s, it's the same core team from then, and that's when they won. That's the last tournament they played in indoor," Norris said.
"Big time it helps they've played together before, it's a lot better when you know who you're playing with and what they're good at, what they're not so good at."
For the titles, which run from Saturday to Monday at Orange PCYC, there is only one pool for the division two boys as COVID-19 has had an impact on numbers.
But Bathurst still needs to play well to qualify for the final, which will be contested between the top-two ranked sides after round games.
Nepean, Orange, Sydney South, New England and Port Macquarie Hastings will all be just as keen for gold as Norris' side.
"We haven't played some of the teams in it this year before, but we're pretty confident we can get into the final," the coach said.
"There are a couple of handy New England players and Port Macquarie should be good, but most of the other teams we've beaten before.
"We've got a really handy side. We've had a couple of training sessions which were probably not to the intensity that I'd like, but I'm pretty sure they'll be ready for the carnival."
Bathurst begins its campaign at 6pm Saturday against Port Macquarie Hastings, has three matches set for Sunday against Sydney South, Orange and New England. Norris' side play their final pool game Monday morning against Nepean.
