HOSPITALISED COVID cases in the Western NSW Local Health District are creeping back up towards their peak of last week.

The health district hit 41 cases in its hospitals at the start of last week before dropping to 31 cases mid-last week.
After a day of no change, numbers have been rising ever since apart from a decrease to 32 cases (with none in ICU) in the 24 hours to 8pm on Saturday.
There are now 37 cases in the health district's hospitals, one of whom is in ICU, according to the latest update.
There were 470 new COVID cases identified by PCR test and 207 identified by rapid antigen test across the Western NSW Local Health District in the 24 hours to 8pm on Sunday.
Bathurst Regional local government area had 42 new cases identified by PCR, though RAT test results for the local government area are not available.
Dubbo had 113 new cases identified by PCR, Mid-Western local government area 84 and Orange 46.
Oberon had 12 and Blayney Shire eight.
IN OTHER NEWS AROUND BATHURST:
Across NSW, in the 24 hours to 8pm on Sunday, there were 15,091 positive test results (cases) notified - 6901 positive rapid antigen tests (RATs) and 8190 positive PCR tests.
Of the 6901 positive RAT results, 6336 were from the previous seven days.
There were 24 deaths reported by NSW Health - eight women and 16 men.
Ten people were from south-western Sydney, three from western Sydney, five from south-eastern Sydney, four from Sydney's inner west and two from northern NSW.
IN OTHER NEWS AROUND BATHURST:
NSW Health says there are 2816 COVID-19 cases admitted to hospital in the state, up by 104 on the previous day, and 196 people in intensive care, up by seven on the previous day.
Of those, 69 require ventilation, which is down by three on the previous day.
